Beautiful Rainy Day Wedding at Hampton-Preston Mansion & Gardens | Columbia, SC

On a rainy September day at Edisto Island, Noah waited for just the right moment during a boat ride for the sky to clear. That's when he asked Pinkney to spend her life with him. Little did they know, the same good luck would happen on their wedding day. These two said their vows the following summer at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, followed by a gorgeous reception at Hampton-Preston Mansion Gardens.

Their entire day was full of so many sentimental details, and while the rain came down for most of the morning, it cleared just in time for portraits in the garden.

Pinkney chose the most beautiful color palette for the day. She opted to start the day with pale pink, white, and greens and up the color during the reception with a bolder approach! Fern chose some of the most stunning blooms for Pinkney's bouquet, and I love the textures and how lush everything was. They fit perfectly with the mixed floral print bridesmaids' dresses, and I loved that Pinkney opted to have her ladies choose their own style and print!

Speaking of dresses, Pinkney wore the most stunning Sareh Nouri gown and borrowed a family veil. I love how one simple addition can make an already gorgeous dress feel even more elevated and timeless. She also wore her mom's intaglio earrings to complete her look.

We opted for bridal party photos in the garden at Pinkney's home because she's always loved her mom's garden in the spring. It was so beautiful and added the perfect sentimental touch to the portraits!

They said their "I dos" at Pinkney's childhood church, where many of her family members had also been married. They ended the day with an absolutely stunning reception designed by Meagan Warren with more incredible florals by the team at Fern. The bright spring blooms were the perfect way to brighten a rainy evening.

Pinkney and Noah welcomed their guests into the reception tent with a Second Line, which is one of the most fun ways to start a party. There couldn't have been a perfect day for these two!
