This private residence wedding with Melanie Murphy had the most epic ceremony location ever. I'm still not over the sunset that completely showed off for these two and the beautiful day that unfolded for them!

After meeting through mutual friends in Colorado and a beautiful Estes Park engagement, Casey and Brenden finally said I do with a beautiful summer wedding.

Secretly I love May weddings. It's just before the heat of summer really kicks in, and the florals are always extra lush and beautiful. The days are longer, and the memory of 4 PM sunsets are slowly being forgotten. Summer festivities are in full swing, and the light for sunset photos after vows with clients is the best! Not to mention the timelines have a bit more breathing room.

Casey and Brenden opted for a beautiful day in May to make things official. The lake was a stunning backdrop, and the entire space Melanie designed was exquisite! It's always a joy working with Melanie; this day was no exception.

Casey chose a simple and classic color palette for the day and stuck with white roses and greenery for her and her bridesmaid bouquets. She was an absolute vision in an off-the-shoulder crepe gown, and Brenden was so dapper in khaki. The muted tones were so lovely with the setting and let the sunset light shine during their couple's portraits.

The dock was perfect for portraits as the sun was going down too. We made sure they could enjoy a cocktail together before joining their guests for a fun night near the water.

Bonnie Brunt designed the most beautiful cake for the evening as well. It was so classic and elevated, and like all wedding cakes should be, absolutely delicious!

It was a beautiful day spent with even more beautiful people and just another of those little reminders of how special this job really is.
