Downtown Greenville Engagement Session | Falls Park on the Reedy

This downtown Greenville engagement session with Lauren and Will had everything. Gorgeous summer flowers were in full bloom. The sounds of Falls Park were the perfect background noise. And of course, we brought champagne to celebrate the occasion!

Planning Your Engagement Session

I am beyond thrilled to photograph these two for their upcoming wedding. We started the celebration with a session in one of their favorite locations.

Bringing together an engagement session can sometimes feel daunting, but I love helping my couples work through the planning process to ensure it's light, fun, and easy!

Choosing the time of year for your session is the first to consider. You'll want to consider things like Save The Dates and your wedding timeline, then work backward. If you have a longer lead time to your wedding, you could even consider having your engagement session during the same season.

Next, you'll want to consider your location. A busy place might not be the best choice if you don't love PDA or being affectionate with others around. Maybe you even want to have your engagement session at your venue - it can be a great way to get a feel for the space! Wherever you chose, just be sure it feels like a good fit for the two of you, and use it as a way to tell more of your story.

The wardrobe is also essential for your session. Make sure you consider your style and be sure to consider having an option for an outfit change. It's really fun to have a casual and more dressed-up option if that's your thing.

The last tip - have fun with it. I hate stuffy, uptight sessions, and I want you to leave your session having enjoyed yourself vs. just checking something off your list. Feel free to bring champagne, and we will have a mini party just for the two of you!
